Puffton
It's impossible to navigate with arrow keys in the layer menu. Selecting a layer highlights it, pressing "down arrow" moves the layer downward instead of moving the selection one step down. I get the point, and I'm not a professional designer, but it doesn't feel intuitive to me. I'm so used to left/right to expand/contract a group and up/down to move around in any given tree structure. Staff TonyB Posted October 16, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 16, 2014 This is intractable. Most people including me want the arrow keys to nudge my object on the document. Selecting an object or layer can't stop this working as it confuses almost everyone. This is the same reason most professional creative apps work this way. Adobe use different keys to navigate the layer stack and we could implement a similar system but I wouldn't want to use the cursor keys. Second-best (at least for someone used to gaming) would be W,A,S,D I guess.
