Instant crash when changing color of column guides.

Recommended Posts

Software: Publisher 2.5.3 iPad

Hardware: 2024 iPad Pro M4 11”

Created a new publisher document.

Trying to setup master guides. Trying to change the color from gray as it’s difficult to see for my project.  As soon as I try to set the color, Publisher crashes.

Expected behavior - change the color it changes, no crash.

For what it's worth, I'm not seeing that happen on my iPad.

The crash report may be useful to the Affinity team:

By the way, it can be helpful when making screen recordings of the Affinity apps to enable "Show Touches" in the application Settings, under General. I don't think it's needed this time, but for more complex cases it can help.

Hi @jimklo,

Thanks for your report!

This crash seems to occur when tapping on the Colour Well, after setting the fill colour for the Guides or Column Guides.

If you instead close the Colour Wheel dialog by tapping on the canvas, you won't see this crash occur (and I suspect is the reason Walt was not experiencing the crashing in his testing).

I'm getting this logged as a bug with our developers now :)
