Hi there guys!

Below are 3 samples of a logo I´m doing to my self (I am a psycholinguist, like a psychologist of the emotions) but I think that something is still missing. Can you guys give me any advise? or any suggestion?

I´ll be open to all your answers.

Thanks a lot

Hi baal_uriel,

your drawing is very beautiful, but please have in mind that usually a logo will be displayed at very small sizes. Just think of the logo usage on Facebook (see below). So your design must be still understandable, even when scaled down to a considerable degree. I am sorry to say this, but I fear this is not the case with your current, very detailed draft …  :(

I hope you don’t mind my remarks, I certainly don’t want to offend you … :)

Once again, it is a great drawing, but I doubt it will work as a logo.

Alex

I agree with A_B_C. These are some really great designs but it seems a bit over-engineered for a logo. A logo should be recognisable at thumbnail size.

A quick Google search for 'brain logo' will show you some really neat ideas which you can use for some inspiration and the majority seem to be simple line drawings with a bit of fancy text.

However if I had to pick one of the current designs, I'd go with the second idea with the background as it looks more fun and I like the definition.

I agree with everything that has been said and would like to add that a logo should still be recognizable when printed with one color only (e. g. with black on a letterhead). If that’s the case then you have a good logo. A logo is really more about (simple) recognizable shapes than intricate effects. There are lots of logo design tutorials on the web that explain this in more detail.

Hi there,

Good effort these images are more suited to book covers, where they can be appreciated more. Both image 2 and 3 remind me of astrology: whereas image one, explains how the mind is probably the most complicated object in the universe... :o

As for your icon/logo, remember that less-is-more.

Here's an example from Pinterest

So what you need to do is match your perception of your chosen career and your publics' perception. Let me explain this classic example of Theatre and Drama. Two faces or masks, one representing tragedy, the other comedy. Even Emojis can do it!

So iconic and recognisable.

Keep it simple!
