pingle
I am trying to use the perspective tool. I have seen the tutorial and it seems easy. However, in the tutorial when the 'show grid' box is checked, a grid appears. In my version it does not. What am I missing?
Staff Leigh Posted June 3, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 3, 2016 This can happen if you have a Mask or Adjustment selected instead of the Pixel layer. Do you have a Pixel Layer selected?
pingle
I thought I did. I had loaded 6 tiff images. Four needed other work which went OK. Two needed perspective changes and they did not work. Just now I restarted the program and loaded just the two with perspective work and the grid immediately came up and everything worked fine. Who knows? Staff Leigh Posted June 6, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 6, 2016 Strange. If it happens again, let us know :)
emeff
I just bought Affinity Photo today to future proof against PS, but I find that it doesn't have the perspective crop tool that I use all the time on PS. When I tried to effect a workaround, I found it didn't work. Any tips/news about this being fixed? The programme and tutorials look great but gotta have that functionality! Staff MEB Posted June 9, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 9, 2016 Hi emeff, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) There's no Perspective Crop Tool in Affinity Photo, only a regular Crop Tool. You should add this to the Feature Requests section instead, as it may become lost here. paolo.limoncelli
I think that if you switch from Destination to Source in Perspective Tool Mode you could achieve something similar... Not a real perspective crop tool anyway... Quote The white dog, making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
