Unable to Use bold for text

Recommended Posts

What I am trying to do id to make EPC and retrofit section bold text and the rest "normal"

I am unable to make text bold or even to check bold to see if it already is.

The text option in the nav bar has bold blocked out
I am highlightinh the text that I want to be bold but I am unable to do anything
I have text, font etc as a view under nav bar (bold and italics are blocked out).

If I click the options in an attempt to turn bold off notrhing happens.

How do I get around this.

I've just checked, and the Microsoft Sans Serif font is only available in one weight, so it doesn't have the bold option.

Hoping to extend a little on what has already been said, if you don’t have the Bold variant of a particular font installed on your system then the software will not ‘invent’ it like a word processor might.

On my system, see attached image, that font is only installed as the Regular variant so I, like you, cannot use the Bold variant.

To see which variants of the font that the software can see and use, click on the little “>” icon to the left of the font name in the font picker; that will give you the list of variants which you can close (if you want to) by clicking on the “V” icon.
