How to make a text link to a url with AD?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I really need this feature for a project.

How to make a text link to a url with AD?

Is it possible ? If not, do you know an other way to put it ?

Thank you.

Regards.

While the SVG standard supports linking you can try to edit the file in a text-editor and add it manually.

Should look like something as:

id="a8232"

       target=""
      <image
         width="66.585808"
         height="66.585808"
         preserveAspectRatio="none"
         xlink:href="data:image/

I attached a example file here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/20679-can-i-add-links-to-slices-in-ad/

(If you don´t mind you can use Inkscape for that purpose)

Cheers

P.

Bonjour à tous,

Oui, vraiment, ce serait une super option que de pouvoir insérer directement un hyperlien dans un SVG à partir d'Affinity Designer !

Bien cordialement !

Hello everyone,

Yes, really, it would be a great option to be able to directly insert a hyperlink into an SVG from Affinity Designer!

Best regards !

Hi Guys, I would love this feature too into AF. It's such a handy thing to have.

Ok, for now, I've figured out a simple workaround, though this relies heavily on the user opening the PDF using MAC Preview or Adobe PDF. So this is more of a temporary solution.

The solution:

  1. Both these tools can now read links if you have the entire extension in their full form so don't just write www.yoursite.com.au instead write https://www.yoursite.com.au.
  2. Now that might look messy including the "https://" in a display. So what I've also found that also works is overlaying a text bit with 0 opacity and that too seems to work well.

Again both these rely on the PDF viewer/reader to make the linking work. I hope this helps someone. I do hope they implement a more robust linking system as soon as possible though. thanks.
