Faux Frog
Hi, I have bought a few new brushes and they all seems to be imported fine apart from the El-Malo brush pack. Is anyone else having an issue and can you help? Thank you
Dan C
Hi @Faux Frog, Welcome to the Affinity Forums & sorry to hear you're having trouble! 19 hours ago, Faux Frog said: Is anyone else having an issue and can you help? As can be seen from the Affinity Store page for this product, these are Vector Brushes, compatible with Affinity Designer only - Therefore they unfortunately cannot be used within Affinity Photo. If you do not have Affinity Designer and need a refund for this add-on, please email affinityreturns@serif.com and our team can assist Alfred

This is logged with our team - as Affinity Photo as a standalone app shouldn't really allow for import of these brushes, but since resources are now shared between all 3 Affinity apps, you can actually install Vector Brushes within Affinity Photo, and they'll then appear in Affinity Designer. The best behaviour IMO would be for the Photo to allow importing these - but only if an Affinity Designer installation is detected, and the app should inform you where they can be found. If Designer isn't detected, they should fail to import and inform the user as to why. Thanks for raising that, I'll 'bump' the issue internally now markw and Alfred
R C-R
5 hours ago, Dan C said: The best behaviour IMO.... I think it might be helpful if there was always a dialog in AP asking if the user really wanted to install vector brushes from within that app, explained that they could not be used in AP but could in the others if installed, & also for all 3 apps if a user tried to install the same brush pack (of either type) more than once, it would also always ask if the user really wanted to do that instead of just installing them with a numerical suffix.
