JeanPM
I am using Affinity Publisher 2.5.2. Using Help > Affinity Publisher 2 Help, I've found that there is a Text Panel. Link here: https://affinity.help/publisher2ipad/English.lproj/contents.xml?page=pages/Panels/textPanel.html?title=Text panel However, the help item does not indicate where to find or how to open this panel. Help pls? As an aside, I am an intermittent user of Publisher, and I rely on the Help option a lot. I've found time and again, however, that the help articles start with phrases like "Click on the tool", or something similar, but they don't tell you where the tool is. It's probably obvious for frequent Publisher users. but not for intermittent users. A lot of the time the tools or panels are hidden, and one first has to figure out how to make them visible. I'd like to see Affinity update all its Help articles, always starting each article with where to find the tool or panel in question, before explaining how to use the tool. (Sorry to vent, but it's frustrating.)
walt.farrell
You're looking at the Help for Publisher 2 on iPad. That won't help much if you're using Publisher on the desktop as implied by your placement of this question. Please confirm where you're working (OS) and where you got that link. JeanPM
I am on a Mac running macOS 14.5. The Help screen that I referred to in my first post is the one I see when I do Help > Affinity Publisher 2 Help on Mac. If that screen is actually for iPad, then maybe that is a different problem. How do I get to the Affinity Help screen that pertains to Mac? Anyway, after enough hunting and pecking, a couple minutes ago I found the "Text Panel". Although contrary to the Help screen, I found that on Mac it's not called the Text Panel, it's actually the Character Panel. So problem solved. Sorry for venting earlier. I do appreciate your help. There is also a Paragraph Panel if go to Window > Text, and then the panels you need for text will be there. Quote The website is still a work in progress. Thanks for confirming your OS and how you got to it. Note that you can go to https://affinity.help in your favorite browser and pick the Help you want, which may be useful. I presume that when you followed that link, you got a separate window with the Help. Can you show us a screenshot of that window, and describe how you searched there to get the link you provided in your first post? Barbara Blundell
I am having the same issue as JeanPM as far as finding panels. Using the latest version Infinity Designer 2.5 on a desktop windows computer. I lost all the panels that were open and finding the "Help" menu not at all helpful. Am trying to find the panel that shows all the layers. I've clicked everywhere on all the menus. Been looking for approx. two hours and am finally giving up. As JeanPM said, it would be ever so helpful if the menus included how to find a panel, not just what they do. Can someone please help me find the layers panel. I would very much appreciate it!!! SpecAnncmt_SmokeDetsInspct_061824.afdesign

Same here. I'm running Catalina (10.15.7) so that may have something to do with it but according to your sig you are also running macOS Sonoma (14.5) like the OP so that doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. The Help panel doesn't say "for Mac" or anything like that, but I assume I'm in the correct place now because I can no longer get to the text panel that I reference above, which evidently was for iPad. So I think Help is working for me now. Thx.
