nickdaum
Hi all I have been dreaming of that for ages : Content-aware cropping coming soon to Adobe Photoshop CC. Actually I would call that de-cropping. Not only I am a lousy framer but I often do panoramas that often leave blank edges. Any thought? Nick ashf
Staff MEB Posted May 26, 2016 Staff Share Posted May 26, 2016 Hi Nick, There's already a similar feature included in Affinity Photo for panoramas (check the attached screenshot). Clicking the Inpaint Missing Areas button, then Apply should filll the empty areas of the panorama using data from the image. nickdaum
Hi MEB Thanks for your quick answer. I do my panoramas with Hugin. I tried AP's persona but it's way behind the specialist. I created a thread some time ago on this forum about the issue but no one found the solution. You can't import an already done panorama in the persona and ajust the corners. Anyway the need for “de-cropping“ arises also with pictures that were just leveled like in the example in DPR and after tweaking the perspective or the geometry in general. It happens often to me. Would such a feature be a difficult thing to program? Nick
anon1
they´d just have to add the button that is present in the panorama persona to the crop tool but it´s not especially "content aware", but it´s pretty good inpainting for the meantime you can use this workaround https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/20375-inpainting-fill-tutorial-content-aware-fill/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/16806-content-aware-scaling/?p=76141 this is an official answer from an affinity dev (ben)
