AV-Architects
I have a publisher file that contains of two embedded files (1 image & 1 .afp file) and two rectangels. All of them have the same CMYK values for black (I typed them in manually), but the created rectangles differ in print by being way brighter. I already checked that all the files have the same Color-profile. I don't even need to print it, I can already see the difference in the preview window of the printer. How can that be? Hangman
Hi @AV-Architects, Could you upload both your Publisher file containing the two embedded files as well as the two embedded files separately, i.e., the original image file and the original .afp file so we can take a closer look at what is going on... AV-Architects
I can only send you the file with the embedded files, and the one image. Should be enough though to see the problem.T 12inch_Vinyl Inner Sleeve.afpub Bandfoto_LP def cmyk.tif
Hangman
Hi @AV-Architects, I think what you are seeing is just a screen redraw issue in the Print dialog window, I see the same thing but your colours are 'correct', the black background of the TIFF is very slightly out, possibly caused by using the sliders in Affinity Photo to set the values rather than physically entering them (though you do mention that you entered the values manually) but likely not enough to cause any noticeable issues... Because the sliders only display integer values it is perfectly possible to end up with a value of 92.549 instead of 93 but you won't notice because the values are rounded in the colour panel. Entering values by hand 'should' overcome this... Which printer are you printing to? I would make a test print, I think you'll find the black rectangle matches the black of the placed .afpub and the TIFF file... Note how Preview also has issues displaying the Black rectangle when initially loading, I think this is just a Quartz display issue on Mac which is prevalent in the Print Display Preview as well... AV-Architects
Update: It seems to be the plotter. I testet it on another machine now, and here it is fine. Still strange, but that rules out Affinity as the problem for me so far....Thanks for checking!
