Bananaslug Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 I'm working on a video project and I have to clean up my images before I can use them. This requires extensive use of the Erase Brush. While working with it in Designer, it just stopped working. I switched to Photo and it was doing the job then, it too, just stopped working. In both instances, the glitch was preceded by a simple change in brush size. How could such a simple and common function result in the tool shutting down and what can I do about it? I need the tool to work to finish this and any other project I work on. Thanks in advance for any help. - Scott Quote
Staff Callum Posted June 12, 2024 Staff Posted June 12, 2024 Hi Bananaslug, Welcome to the forums Please could you provide a screenshot or screen recording showing the entire apps UI (ensure the context tool bar is visible) while the Erase brush is selected? This will allow me to investigate this further with you. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.

Bananaslug Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 For crying out loud! How did that happen and how did I miss it? At any rate, I feel like an idiot. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated. Quote

While you have any Brush Tool selected, the keyboard numerical keys offer a quick way to change the Opacity of the brush. If you (maybe accidentally) pressed the ‘0’ key twice in quick succession then a 0% Opacity will have been selected (pressing ‘0’ only once will quickly set it to 100% Opacity). You can find more information about this in the Help for painting brush strokes . Quote
