7 Day Trial Not Working for iOS apps though it works on Windows?

Hi

I’ve previously had a 30 day trial of the V2 universal license, but in light of the Adobe fiasco thought I’d try Affinity Suite again.

I found that I could activate a new 7 day trial, which works for desktop apps, but it doesn’t work for the iOS versions, even though my license page says that the 7 day trial is for “Mac, Windows and iOS.”

On iOS I get the error  message - “Your trial has expired. You can now purchase the app.”

Is there any way to get this license working on iOS as the licensing page suggests?

I don't think there is but not to worry, this is one purchase you will not regret !

Especially so if you buy during the current flash sale (50% off). Affinity Collection for iPad — all three apps as an in-app purchase — currently costs the same as you would normally pay for just one app, but that would obviously only be an attractive offer if you weren’t interested in the desktop versions.

Does anyone have an answer to my original question? Can I get the 7 day trial to work on iOS as the license suggests?

Typically, once you've used the trial, you can't get another one until the Affinity team "resets" the trial info to a newer release. At that point, if (say) your earlier trial was on 2.1 you may now be able to have another trial at 2.5.

I don't know if that works for the iPad Trials, though. You may have to wait until someone from the Staff is around to answer that for you, and as it's the weekend there are fewer Staff around than during the week and during business hours.

Thanks … the original trial I had was for 2.0/2.1 I think. I wouldn’t be surprised if they might be offering new trials for the current version esp as the v2.5 desktop apps have a new 7 day trial, to onboard new customers to cash in on the Adobe debacle.

Honestly, the current 50% deal is the best deal they have ever offered in my memory, we have no idea if it will even last the week. This is a no brainer decision, the price of the iPad app is the price of a single pint of beer in central London.

As I understand it, iPad trials are different from desktop trials due to the way they are provided through the iPad App Store, associated with your Apple ID.

Unfortunately I don't believe this trial eligibility can be 'reset' for iPad in the same way we can for desktop due to this - our apologies!
