Intuos5 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 I frequently notice that in Publisher 2.5 and 2.5.2 that whenever I scroll from one page to another that is quite some distance away (e.g. from 260 to 200), that once I arrive at the page I want to work on, Publisher jumps back to the previous page. This is really annoying and the "Previously viewed page" button does not allow me to go back to the page I was on. So when I don't take note on which page I want to go back to, I'll have to scroll to it again. This does not happen when I use the pages studio and double click the page, but it does when I scroll using MMB or with the scrollbar next to the main view. This is on Windows 10. Quote
Intuos5 Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 Also, when I decide to give Publisher time to load the pages, the "Previously viewed page" command stops functioning, it keeps me on the page I scrolled to. Quote
walt.farrell Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 After scrolling, what are you doing when it jumps back? And have you clicked in the page? If not, you're still "on" the page you were last working on. And as you haven't changed the page you're working on, the Previous Page function won't help. Usually it jumps back before I even get the chance to click the page. I get you need to click the page, there just isn't a way to go back if Publisher decides I can't scroll. Quote
Intuos5 Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 I'm also noticing that when I move my mouse horizontally while using the scrollbar, I am able to influence whether Affinity goes to the page I scrolled to or the previous page. Not that that's what I am doing, because I stick to the scrollbar region. 2024-06-05 13-25-51.mp4 Quote
Staff Lee D Posted June 10, 2024 Staff Posted June 10, 2024 @Intuos5I've noticed that some others apps have a similar issue in terms of using the side scrollbar and then moving the mouse horizontally jumps to another area. Quote

Yeah could be. Though my suspicion here is that while you have linked images that are still loading, Affinity does not register that you've released the mouse click on the scrollbar and thus reverts back to the previous page as though you are still scrolling AND moving horizontally.
