Madsk Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 I've just switched from InDesign to Af Publisher 2, but I'm having some issues that makes it almost unusable. I'm not having any problems with Designer or Photo, but when using Publisher and toggling Preview Mode, even in exceedingly small documents with no images and only a couple of pages, it freezes for up to 1 min before switching. I've tried installing the beta version, turning off preflight, increasing the Ram available for the software. Nothing is working. My specs are Windows 11 (Latest version) Intel i7-8700K 32 GB DDR4 Running on an NVMe SSD RTX3080 Quote
Staff Callum Posted June 4, 2024 Staff Posted June 4, 2024 Hi Madsk, Please could you tell me the exact version number of photo you are using? If you haven't already please could you also try disabling Open CL in the apps performance preferences ? Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Madsk Posted June 4, 2024 Author Posted June 4, 2024 It's not photo but Publisher. I'm using version 2.5.2.2486 (Beta) - Same problem with the stable version. It freezes in with both Open CL disabled and enabled. So change. Quote
Madsk Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 Is there really no way to get help? I've now tried downgrading to 2.4.2 - problem persists. Quote

As you can see from his post, @Callum is an Affinity Staff member, so you are already getting attention/help. Perhaps he was busy yesterday with other requests.
