Export dimensions

I wonder why export dimensions are stuck with pixel as unit - despite the document format is in different units.
Luckily you can change this in the setting for the line width but I wouldn't know how to set the export units (permanently) to document settings. (I'm aware you can type in required units in the edit fields - but this is nerve-wracking and completely pointless).

Is there a hidden setting anywhere?

Unfortunately there is no way to change export units at this point in time.

@Callum Thx for the information. Maybe something for the "wishlist" since it does make little sense the way it's dealt with currently.
