arnofly Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Hello, Yesterday, I installed Designer v2. I'm really excited about it, especially the Warp Group tool. What's the bug with Ctrl+Y? (joke). I discovered that in VSCode, Ctrl+Shift+Z works like Ctrl+Y, so I'll probably get used to "Photoshop's" Redo again, but that's not the point. Just a quick comment to say I don't like the new icons for the geometric shape tools. Designer v1 blue -> blue 👍 Rounded Rectangle tool more "Rounded" than v2 Designer v2 Geometric shapes tools 🤮 It's just my opinion. Have a nice day, guys!" Quote
bbrother Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 If they really make you feel 🤮, you can try changing the icon style for overall UI from colour to mono in Settings → User Interface → Icon Style. This will unify the icons apperance in the whole UI to monochrome and thus maybe you'll find them more tolerable. Quote
arnofly Posted June 1, 2024 Author Posted June 1, 2024 Yep, I've seen that. Thx. I like globally the new icons set, except for the geometric shape. In Designer v1 with the same color, it's more "understandable", if you see what I mean. Quote

The Shape Tool may not always be Fill, so drawing their icons filled is rather confusing. For Boolean operations, the fill shows the type/result of the operation, so filled icon is useful here. arnofly Posted June 3, 2024 Author Posted June 3, 2024 I disagree. Quote The "same" color is not needed at all, because Shape Tools and Boolean operation have nothing in common Most of the time, you need to use both to accomplish the job. They work together, so saying that they have nothing in common leaves me perplexed. Quote The Shape Tool may not always be Fill, so drawing their icons filled is rather confusing The Shape Tool is not always empty; it is even filled by default. So, I don’t see where the confusion is. I note that you prefer the new version 😉 Quote
arnofly Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 And he Shape Tool looks too much like the Select Tool in Photo 2, even though the icons are not next to each other in my actual toolbar." VS The first version of the Shape Tool icon was much better, without any hesitation. Quote
