Master pages glitches

I recently upgraded to version 2.5.0 from version 1 which I purchased some time ago. My use of Master pages was working fully with version 1. Since I downloaded version 2.5 this week I find that when I wish to remove a master page, the normal qualifying popup that provides choices as to which master page or which pages I wish to deal with does not appear. So if I just wish to remove one of say 4 master pages for a particular page selection that I have highlighted in the thumbnail area, I am not able to limit it to my desires. So if I right click on my thumbnail and request removal of masterpages, all 4 master pages will be removed. When I right click on my thumbnails and choose "add masterpages" then the qualifying popup does appear and I can choose the master page I wish to work with as well as delegate which pages I wish to affect with that request. However, If I wish to use this work around, when endeavor to apply a new masterpage to a specified page or series of pages, the masterpage overprints other master pages outside of those which were selected. So it is very much not controlled like it had been when I was using the master page editing feature in version 1. Is there some instructions that I may be missing in how to adequately get this version 2.5 to perform in a similar manner as I was experiencing in version 1.0. Or is it  bug in version 2.5 that needs to be addressed so that the management of masters can be managed other than with the layers feature on a page by page basis? When I am working with a 150 page document, it would be very nice if I can learn how to use or get the masterpage management tools to work as well and as reliably as I was experiencing in version 1.0  week ago before I upgraded to version 2.5.0  it may be that there are different control instructions for 2.5 which I have not been exposed to that may be the reason why the editing popup control does not appear for masterpage removal but it does appear for masterpage adding.

Do you have a sample document we can look at, or can you upload a screen recording showing the issues as I'm not immediately seeing the problems described in your post?
