Grinnys signs Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I went to access a file I had previously saved to the iPad, when I went to the folder it was saved to all my files from Affinity Designer were gone. There were lots of important files. Quote
walt.farrell Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Welcome to the Affinity forums, @Grinnys signs. Sorry to hear you're having that problem. Which folder were you looking in? Grinnys signs Posted May 29, 2024 Author Posted May 29, 2024 Unfortunately they were saved in the Affinity Designer folder. I'm thinking the program updated and cleared all my files out. I know it's more than likely my fault, but I wish there was a way to recover all my saved work Chatgptlg 1 Quote
walt.farrell Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 As far as I know, updates to the program wouldn't affect the contents of that folder. However, if you uninstalled the program that would delete the folder. Or, if you did the work in V1, then installed V2, and then uninstalled V1 without copying the files out of the old folder first, you would lose them. If you keep backups of the iPad you might be able to recover them from the backup, but I'm not sure what would be involved in doing that.
