I had a document started in the 2.3 version of Publisher.

I used the font 'Wallington' to create a ? and ! in the document.

Export to PDF was without problems possible.

After updating to 2.5 version, I wanted to change something.
First those ? and ! were no longer shown, as the frame was suddenly marked as too small. After fixing this, I exported as PDF.

But the PDF suddenly shows different letters.
Anyone who can help how to fix this?

Hi @Sina_ and welcome to the forums.

When you open the document in 2.5.0, is the Font Style list blank? This is the list that normally shows Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic, etc. Some fonts aren't being recognized properly when old documents are opened. This might account for the frame being too small and for the characters being substituted during export.

If the list is blank, select that text and choose the Font Style again. Then export and see if that fixes it.

Good luck.

Hi @MikeTO

thank you so much for your input.

I just tried what you proposed: the Font Style wasn't blank, but still I changed between the Font Styles.

No idea how exactly, but it seems it's working again!! 😄
