Version 2.5.0 update done. but program crashes at startup on windows 11 copmuter

I did the update to version 2.5 and after that, the small screen comes up like a normal start, then the icon at the bottom vanishes and the program is gone. I am on windows 11. Any idea what I can do? I should never update software. It never seems to go well for me . When in doubt, don't update. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  Thanks

I have the same issue on fully up to date Windows 11. Best plan is to revert to Affinity version 2.4 since this still works.

Several known issues with the v2.5.0 release have been addressed either via the 2.5.1 update or the 2.5.2 Beta.

The latest advice depending on where you downloaded 2.5.0 from is shown here...

I am using Affinity Photo version 2.5.3, but it keeps crashing while I am working... quite a lot, actually... for the past few days.

Any ideas?
