aleale1
Version 2.5 does not display fonts installed as links (which are not copied to the Windows fonts folder). Version 2.4 and earlier were fine. The problem started with version 2.5 BETA and is present in the release version. Frozen Death Knight
michaela.vesela
After updating the program, all the fonts I installed in Windows are not working. 😧 Edited May 23 by michaela.vesela
Staff Leigh Posted May 23 Staff Share Posted May 23 We're sorry about this - we're investigating. Are you using a Font Manager? Do you know where the fonts are installed i.e in your USERPROFILE font folder or the one in the Windows directory?

Víte, kde jsou písma nainstalována, tj. ve vaší trvalé písemnosti USERPROFILE nebo v adresáři Windows? I have the fonts installed in the folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts. At the same time in C:\Windows\Fonts. The problem started today after the update. Font Manager doesn't help in any way. Edited May 23 by michaela.vesela

Cannot have the same fonts in the main Windows Fonts folder and in your User Fonts folder. Affinity applications scan these Fonts folders for all fonts - and duplicates often do not appear at all in the font list. Best to have all your fonts only in Windows Fonts. Frozen Death Knight
I had this exact issue during the Beta with no installed fonts, i.e. Google fonts, appearing on the list, but they existed in 2.4. When I updated to 2.5 for retail that bug appeared there as well. One file that I worked on in 2.4 also had the font turn up missing when opening up after the update. I tried downloading and installing that font manually again, but nothing happened to fix the issue in Affinity. aleale1
ai-2021
I have the same issue some fonts are fine but even I install in PC some font doesn't show up. I usually use fontbase for organizing fonts. https://fontba.se/ BETA same problem. aleale1

Staff Leigh Posted May 24 Staff Share Posted May 24 @Tsubuan Would it be possible to get a copy of the font that appears missing in our apps?
ashf
I saw a user who is using FontBase experiencing this problem. I suppose it because that the fonts not shown are not in Windows\Fonts. (not installed)

(not installed) I use FontBase, and my fonts are shown properly in the 2.5.0 applications, even though they are installed in my local folders, not in \Windows\Fonts. Javier Sánchez
Another one with the same problem with fonts; since I updated to version 2.5, it has stopped recognizing many of them. I use the FontBase font manager, and for reference, I don't have the fonts in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts directory. In my case, I have them in a specific folder on a different drive than C Downgrading to version 2.4.2, everything has started working normally again. My system is a Windows 11 23H2 with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 64GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070. aleale1

What is your AMD Ryzen 9 5900X startup time? You can check it in task manager in "Startup" tab in the upper right corner.
