artemesia66
I'm wondering if there's something that's the equivalent of the "h" key in illustrator, so that you can see what you're working on without seeing the selection indicators, but without deselecting. Staff TonyB Posted October 15, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 15, 2014 Holding down the spacebar will do this temporarily if not in the text tool. Figmatt and artemesia66 1
artemesia66
Thank You! That's half the battle. It would be great to have something that worked for the text tool, as well, as letter-spacing etc. is one of the things I prefer to judge without highlighting showing,
catlover
I second that. When typing small text, the entire text is covered by the handles, making the text invisible. Smaller handles, maybe ?
Staff TonyB Posted October 19, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2014 We might do something special for text when you type as you don't need to see the handles when not using the mouse. I will try and get it included soon.
artemesia66
Hey, thanks for getting back to this thread, Tony. It would be great if there was a way to toggle on and off, not just the handles, but any text highlighting--it can be distracting when you're trying to adjust size, spacing, kerning, etc. cheers, jt fuli42
retrograde
That spacebar solution is great! It allows you to add effects and see what is happening without having to view the edges. :) Is this a new feature with Beta 2? Where has that been hiding? I just checked the help file and didn't see it under keyboard shortcuts.... roryobryan
Great feature and an easy to remember shortcut, I should have looked on the forums ages ago for this! Perhaps it could be added to the "tips" bar on the bottom of the screen. Thats where I looked to see if it might be possible, then in the view menu, then finally here in the forums. Figmatt
Space bar is a great tip for hiding the handles on small pixel shapes. Is that still the best option?
