R C-R
Is there any reason the copy has to be pasted back into (merged with) the same layer? Generally, I find it more useful to keep things on different layers so that I can edit, move, or whatever each element individually as needed. A_B_C
Hi seb74, and welcome here … :) Yes, I also believe it is nice to have separate layers. However, in order to achieve your result, you could follow this workflow: Simply copy your pixel selection, and paste it. Hold down the Command Key and click-drag the selection to move it together with the selected content. Alternatively, you can use the Move Tool. Then deselect. In order to merge down the layer, simply type Command + E. Hope that helps … :) Alex
