Transforming the vector shape with the Move Tool bounding box affects the final result of Expand Stroke

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is a known bug or not for Expand Stroke, but I wanted to report it to make sure. Apparently if you transform the size of a vector shape, the old dimensions are still present underneath without being able to see it. When using Expand Stroke on a shape with skewed dimensions, the final result changes alongside it. If you double click one side to reset the bounding box dimensions the final result starts to look near identical to the actual curve width profile in a way that's expected.

Hi @Frozen Death Knight,
Thanks for your report. I believe this is a side effect of the algorithm used to expand the stroke. It tends to distorts certain areas of tension where you have pressure points with large values closely followed by others with very low pressure values even without stretching the object but I will check this with the dev team.
