Joe S. Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I have some files that have multiple versions of the same embedded file in them. Is there any way to change the embedded files in bulk, or is changing them 1 by 1 the only option? Quote
Alfred Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I’d be pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s possible to do this. The rationale behind embedding a file instead of linking it is that it makes the content impervious to any external changes. Affinity Rat Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Sounds like a batch process of search and replace, interesting idea. Could definitely be handy, guess this is why linking resources was conceived. Quote

Joe S. Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 @Dan C You just blew my mind in the best way possible 🤯🤯🤯 And answering a question I hadn't asked yet: why do some embedded docs behave differently even though I though it was the same doc (ie they were slightly different docs, which I can see in the Resource Manager). I'm going to switched to linking vs embedding for the current project I'm working on. I also should read the entire help docs. I know I won't but there's a LOT these apps do that I'm unaware of.
