Staff Chris B Posted May 13 Staff Share Posted May 13 Hey @Affinityconfusesme I had this last week but assumed it was due to me taking my laptop home and working without the additional screen I use at work. Do you happen to connect to and from an external monitor on a regular basis at all? This only happened to 1 of 3 apps. Ron P.
FWIW, I have not been able to replicate this. I've tried using various studio setups with my 2nd monitor. I do notice in Affinityconfuseme's video, the Help thumbnail when hovered over in the taskbar, is blank, except for the header. @Affinityconfusesme, your signature shows that you have (use) an Acer monitor. Do you always have it connected and use it? If so does it occur with the Acer monitor connected? Almost like it wasn't being drawn - in my case I assumed it was because it was trying to show on a monitor that was no longer there. Affinityconfusesme
@Ron P. Sometimes I do but I ran into this issue yesterday, and my computer has been off since then (last week). Staff Chris B Posted May 14 Staff Share Posted May 14 @Affinityconfusesme the only way I could fix this was to restart the app. I am not sure if this is a bug with us or a result of connecting/disconnecting a monitor etc. I will give it some time today to see if I can reproduce it. One thing I did try was calling the Help window and then using the Windows key on the keyboard and then the up, down, left and right arrows to try and reposition the Help window where I could see it but that didn't do anything either. anto
This seems to be fixed in version 2.5.0.2449 But once I had to select Help twice from the menu to get the window to appear.

Perhaps the window is opening behind the main application window and choosing the command a second time is bringing it to the front? I had a browser open in the background and Publisher on top. I tried clicking on the help button several times. And then once the window didn't open. I dragged Publisher to another monitor, minimized the browser, and the help window appeared under the browser. MikeTO
