michabbb
this bug makes it impossible to work with the app right now ;-(( steps to reproduce: - open any image - go to layers and add a new layer (appears as first layer) - try to move any layer as soon as you try to move a layer the app crashes ;-(((
walt.farrell
When you say "add a new layer", what kind of layer did you add (what button or menu item or tool did you use)? I haven't seen any other reports of this, and I don't have that problem on Windows. Are you getting crash reports? If so, they might suggest what's going on. If you have Hardware Acceleration (OpenCL) enabled at the bottom of the Settings for Photo, Performance tab, you might try disabling it and seeing if that fixes the problem after you restart Photo. michabbb
Hi there, first of all, here´s a video showing what happens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kidq34ZTxBw what you see at the end: I am trying to drag the bottom layer above the top layer; it doesn´t matter if that should work at all (because it´s locked); the fact is, the app crashes. It has nothing to do with Hardware Acceleration. I have several crash dumps, but I don´t know exactly what´s inside, so I feel more comfortable NOT sharing that publicly. but I am happy provide all crash dumps to affinity if asked. here´s some output of the crash-dump: https://gist.github.com/michabbb/9300f81eb146fba9059252e3d75b6b1f

michabbb
Glady, today i got feedback from the support. i was told to reinstall photo (from a specific URL, don´t know if that´s the official public version, it´s 2.4.2) and I am happy that the bug no longer appears. so this thread can be marked as "solved" in the manner of "no cause found"
