peterw
hello, Can anyone tell me if it is possible, if so how, to change the shape of a text box using node tool. I want to change the perspective of a text....
Staff MEB Posted May 11, 2016 Staff Share Posted May 11, 2016 Hi peterw, You can use any closed shape as a text frame. Draw a shape, select the Text Frame Tool (click the small arrow on the Artistic Text Tool button to access the Frame Text Tool), then mouse over the shape you want to use as a frame (the cursor will change to t "T" inside a polygon), click on it and start typing. You can edit the shape's nodes with the Node Tool and the text will reflow to fill the new form. This however will not distort the text or change it's perspective. It only reflows it inside the frame. Currently there's now way to distort text as you are describing. A perspective/distortion Tool is already planned for Designer and will eventually be able to apply distortions to text objects. Check Designer's roadmap for more info.
