Photo 2.4.2 wants to record the sound and content of this computer's screen

Recommended Posts

I picked up the eyedropper and clicked on the photo to choose the color I wanted. I got the following message.

Translation:

"Affinity Photo 2" wants to record the sound and content of this computer's screen.

It's a MacOS security feature.
Not a "bug".

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

This is by design the colour picker needs to record your screen in order to see the colours etc.

It probably won't work if you try to color-pick outside the application window.
