shamgar_bn
I am having an issue where when I choose a color on the color wheel, it doesn't display correctly. You can see in my attached screenshot, that I am choosing a red color, but it is displaying as black. I can provide more instances of this happening, but I don't know how to correct the issue. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

AffinityJules
Your file behaves as it should. I have no idea why it isn't doing as expected for you. Maybe someone in here can get to the bottom of it, but it's beyond me. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe. These are not my own words but I sure like this quote. walt.farrell
I would check the color profile assigned to the display/monitor. The color looks right in the Layers panel, but wrong on the workspace. shamgar_bn
I am attaching my color settings as well as a brief video showing what is happening. If my color settings need to be adjusted, I'm open to suggestions. This is out of my understanding Screen Recording 2024-04-16 at 8.55.01 AM.mov

This is out of my understanding I was not referring to your color setttings within the Affinity application, but your OS settings for the color profile assigned to your display/monitor. I don't know enough about macOS yet to provide more than a suggestion that you check that possibility. If there was an OS setting that was affecting my colors, it should also affect those color elsewhere. This is an issue within Affinity as far as I can tell

No - Affinity uses (correctly) the ICC profile for the monitor for painting/drawing on the canvas. OS color management is used for UI. Pšenda
As write Walt "your OS settings for the color profile assigned to your display/monitor", try show screenshot with this settings (not Affinity settings). shamgar_bn 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155. Sure, I'm attaching a screenshot of my settings. These are (I assume) default, as I do not recall ever adjusting these.
shamgar_bn
Solved it. Thanks for advising on the Mac OS color profile!! I never would've thought that to be the issue, but I'm good to go now.
