will someone pls explain the gradient tool. it does not make sense. read the instructions. the slider thingy on my image keeps disappearing. one minute its there. next, its gone. how do i get two colours? there is only one colour on the colour wheel.

 

in the instructions there is a gradient tab. i don't have it. its hard to explain. 

 

gradients make no sense. i am struggling.

Not sure what's happening here. If you click off the object, yes the gradient slider will disappear. Just select the Gradient Tool again and the slider will reappear.

 

Choose the gradient colour box, top left (after the word Linear) and click on it. You'll see the gradient options for changing those colours. Click the circle at either end to change the colour. Make sure your object is selected first!

 

Hope this makes sense.

i didn't realise the gradient tool was at the top. I'm looking to the right. thats where everything else is. but i still have no selection box. it has gone. i can move objects, but cannot see that they are selected. i hardly use AD as i always get stressed.
