Hi and welcome to the forum. The minimum operating system for Affinity 2 is macOS Catalina 10.15. You can find out more about the system requirements here:

Thanks ! So it means I won't be able to run Affinity on my mac I guess  ...

There’s no need for guesswork. If you already own version 1 of Affinity Photo you can run it on macOS High Sierra, but it’s no longer available for purchase.

Thanks for your feedback. I don't own any copy of Affinity sadly. So I will have to wait until I have a new computer. 

I am using photopea right now.
