I can't recall whether this is already logged but I couldn't immediately find a specific reference to this...

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new 100 mm x 100 mm Affinity Designer document with the Image Placement Policy set to Embedded
  2. Add a 100 mm x 100 mm Rectangle to the canvas and apply a fill colour
  3. Save the file as A.afdesign and Close
  4. Create a second new 100 mm x 100 mm Affinity Designer document and Save as B.afdesign
  5. Place A.afdesign into B.afdesign
  6. Double-click the embedded A.afdesign in the Layers panel or select Edit Document in the Context toolbar to edit A.afdesign
  7. Make an obvious colour change to A.afdesign then close the window
  8. The Layer Thumbnail for the embedded A.afdesign fails to update in B.afdesign until the file is either closed then re-opened or Edit In... is selected from the File menu after first saving A.afdesign and the file moved to either Photo or Publisher

This is the same across all three apps...

Note: In Publisher, the Page thumbnail in the Pages panel does update to reflect the change to the embedded file.
