Jonopen
Just wondering what the 'world' icon in the style panel means and why the icon only shows for some styles? I didn't notice any help documentation about them. All the styles work as expected with or without the icon. The screenshot below shows 'The Shizzle Part THREE' which is part of 'The Shizzle Style and Brush Pack' installed from the Account Window. The first 20 styles have the icon and the following 6 don't. The other parts, ie ONE & TWO don't show the icons. Thanks Quote v2.5.3 Designer/Photo/Publisher | Mac mini (M1, 2020) | Sonoma 14.
walt.farrell
I think they're just part of the name of the style. And on Windows, they're black/white, not colored as on macOS. I think you are right. The tooltip that appears when I hover the pointer over any of them includes the icon & if I open the Rename Style... item via a right-click on any of them the name shown includes the icon, like below: Makes me wonder why they are so named but also if we could rename others & how useful that might somehow be.... walt.farrell 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.5 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
Oufti
You can indeed insert emojis or dingbats in a file name or in fields that require a name… On Mac, you do it via the 🌐 button or the menu Insert emojis. walt.farrell and Jonopen 2 Quote Affinity Suite 2.5 – Monterey 12.7.5 – MacBookPro 14" 2021 M1 Pro 16Go/1To I apologise for any approximations in my English. Good to know ... but do you have any idea why somebody like the Shizzle creator would want to do that? Oufti
I have no idea about what this particular person can have in his mind but I can imagine that for some people, it can help to visually classify things using such emojis as prefix. Jonopen
MYSTERY SOLVED Hello all, just heard back from Bob Byrne, the author of the Shizzle style pack. walt.farrell
By the way, I just thought to take a look at The Shizzle Reference and found this: Oufti 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Bit Disappointed
If available and possible a jigsaw puzzle piece emoji would me much more sense. Or one of these: https://emojidb.org/tiles-emojis Quote I simply no longer believe that there are any professional graphic designers here. Everything follows suit. Just everything.
