Hopefully I am stating this correctly. I installed the three Affinity modules on my mac. On the desktop screen the, I am not sure what you call it but it looked like a box with the name of the software and I ejected it. Everytime I do that and then launch the software it reappears. I know there is a correct name for this but when installing other software all I would do is EJECT it and it was gone? Any help is appreciated.

This sounds like you are opening a DMG (Disk Image). I would guess you have downloaded the three DMGs from serif. When you open them they should preseent a Finder Window with the Application (Designer, Photo, or Publisher) and an Alias of your Applications folder. Drag the the Application (Designer, Photo, or Publisher) onto the Alias of the Applications Folder. This will copy the Application into your Applications folder and that is what you should be using to run the software.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

For me it seems, either he didn't succeed in unmounting the .dmg or he has created an alias of the application which is on the .dmg. Every time he double clicks the alias, the .dmg is mounted again in order to start the App *on* the dmg!?

The learning curve is still quite steep...

Best wishes,
Johannes

Possibly you did not install but just launched the app in the opened installer volume file (.dmg). As @Old Bruce mentioned, a successful installation results in a copy of the app, usually inside your application folder. Some installers do this by themselves, others don't or may even ask/offer to choose a certain folder for installation.
