MikeTO
There have been a couple of isolated reports of a similar problem with being unable to select objects in 2.4. I think at least one of the other reports stated that it didn't work in one of the Affinity apps but did in the others. Can you try it in Designer or Publisher if you have them installed? Serif will likely have more questions but it would probably be helpful to see more of your screen. Staff NathanC Posted April 2 Staff Share Posted April 2 Hi @srg, Have you got an further info or steps on how you got the transform box into this offset state when moving the objects? Is the problem persistent between app sessions on the same file/objects, and if so can you provide a copy of the document? Many thanks

Many thanks Hi, it is persistent between sections and I have the file if you still want it. Need dropbox though. Not sure I understand the first part of your answer. To clarify, do you have any information on how the objects shown in your recording got into this broken state when moving them, for example did you do something to trigger this in the first place? Staff NathanC Posted April 2 Staff Share Posted April 2 30 minutes ago, srg said: File uploaded Thanks, it looks like it's an active pixel selection that's the problem since it's persistent across all pixel layers, if you select any of the pixel layers in your document and CMD + D to deselect it will fix the selection issue and allow you to continue working on the layers as normal. The pixel marquee doesn't show when it should be, but I found this by turning on quick mask mode (see the eye selection).

There is a 'hidden' active selection on the canvas, the 'Owl's Eyes', preventing you from moving the moon layers... Go to the View menu and enable Show Pixel Selection Then go to the Select menu and select Deselect (Cmd D) You should now be able to select and move your moons... Hangman
Just now, srg said: Thanks. finally! but that must have been a bug since my show pixel selection was active It's not a bug, it may simply be that Show Pixel Selection wasn't enabled when you made a selection of the Owl's Eyes so you may not have realised that you'd made the selection or after making the selection you hadn't realised it was still selected because the selection wasn't visible... I'd always recommend that you keep 'Show Pixel Selection' enabled when working with pixel selections...
