Downgrade to V1?

Recommended Posts

Hi, is it possible to downgrade to V1 of Affinity Photo? I have a Windows 8 computer I'm not prepared to update for a while and didn't realize there was a big version jump when I purchased it (I usually only use the Windows boot for Designer 1, for vector and text occasionally).

Thanks.

Purchase of a V2 license allows you to run V2, only. It does not allow you to run V1. For that you would need a V1 license, and V1 licenses are no longer offered for sale.

Unless you already own a V1 license, I'm not aware of any legitimate way for you to get one.

If you recently (within the last 14 days) purchased your V2 license directly from Serif you can contact affinityreturns@serif.com to request a refund.

Sad, I was prepared to buy the entire suite. But due to Government work in an air gapped institution could only use the V1. You just lost out on a lot. V1 was the only version viable cause "reasons".

Then talk directly to Serif.  I am certain they can solve your problem.  None of us work for Serif and this is a direct support issue.

Commercial and Education licenses can be activated in a manner similar to V1, without the need to contact a Serif server. But yes, talking directly to the Serif team (you could start with affinity@serif.com) would be best.
