Publisher 2.4.1 Update (EXE Version) keeps failing during install

Setup File may be corrupt

Right-click on the downloaded *.exe file in Windows File Explorer and choose ‘Properties’, and then look for the Digital Signatures tab in the Properties dialog. If that tab is missing, you have a corrupt download.

If the Digital Signatures tab is present, click on a ‘Serif (Europe) Ltd’ entry in the Signature list, press the ‘Details’ button and wait for a few seconds. The Digital Signature Details dialog will tell you whether or not the digital signature is OK. As above, if it isn’t OK then your download is corrupt.

Your Setup.log or SetupUI.log file should have more information.

Press the Windows key and R, and paste this into the Run dialog box, then press Enter: %TEMP%\AffinitySetup

You''ll get a File Explorer dialog, showing a folder (maybe more than one). Pick the one with the latest date/time and open it. In it, pick the Setup.log and SetupUI.log files with the latest date/time and look at them. They will have more information for you.

If you need help interpreting it, you can post the files here and we'll do some interpretation.

%TEMP%\AffinitySetup was not found

I then retried the install and it went through.
*shrug*

Maybe the reboot (had the PC turned off over night) did the trick.

Was just baffled because Photo and Designer updated flawlessly, without the need for a reboot.
Publisher, as third in this sequence of updates, showed the described behavior.

As said, all good now. Thanks for the input all.
It might come in handy at a future time.
