Staff MEB Posted May 2, 2016 Staff Share Posted May 2, 2016 Hi Petar_MK, It's not ready yet. The time frame given was two/three months from its announcement date (15 March). Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Staff MEB Posted May 2, 2016 Staff Share Posted May 2, 2016 Yes, the description on the Beta sign-up page may be a little misleading, but the announcements on the blog and forums were clear. Sorry the confusion. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
R C-R
You announced it on your site in a matter of weeks. But they did not say how many weeks it would be & they did say it would just be the first beta version. lhodaniel
I feel your pain. I was Windows for 23 years until switching to Mac last December. Affinity was one of the reasons for that. I'm very happy I switched and don't miss Windows at all. My hope is that AP will be far enough along that I can cancel my CC subscription when it is up in early September. Since the announcement of the expedited Windows version, the Mac updates have stalled completely. Every day I look for 1.5 beta and every day I am disappointed. My confidence that I'll be able to do the switch before renewal is waning. MacGueurle
Petar Petrenko
I had Mac years ago with MacOS 7.5. But, I couldn't afford it to upgrade anymore. In that period I worked without headaches. Just install the program and start working. No viruses, no OS crashes... Nowadays you have to reinstall Windows any 6 months, problems with drivers... You are in dilema why you bought your computer -- to work or to repair it all the time. I'm planing to make Hackintosh these days. Staff MEB Posted May 3, 2016 Staff Share Posted May 3, 2016 Hi lhodaniel, Beta 1.5 is taking more time than usual because it introduces quite a few changes and new features. This also implies an extended period of testing to ensure everything is funcional before it can be released as a Beta. lhodaniel
MEB, Yes, I understand. I was hoping to be several versions ahead by September. I guess that's not realistic. I do appreciate Affinity's effort! Petar, I was Mac from '86 -'92. The cost at that time was overwhelming. That, and needing Windows for work made me switch. The only way i can justify it now is to use a 15" rMBP as both laptop and desktop
