Removing Background for Png or Jpg Files

Recommended Posts

I need a logo to upload to a membership site. I have the file in many formats but can't seem to get the background removed. Ive selected both EPS and PNG files to test but have no luck. When I export they still have the white background. Even when I select Export > Lanczos 3 > Selection without the background Im still getting the white. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Hi edferrigan,

I don't know which formats you have neither the program you are using (Photo or Designer?) so this may not work. Assuming you're using Affinity Photo go to menu Document ▸ Transparent Background to make the background transparent then export the file as PNG-24 (menu File ▸ Export).

In Affinity Designer you can turn the background transparent going to menu File ▸ Document Setup..., Colour tab and checking Transparent background, then export as PNG-24 going to menu File ▸ Export.

If you can give us more details about the formats you have we may be able to advice you better.
