Keyboard shortcut for closing pop-ups

this is 2024 and you still can't do this with the layers popup. nor with esc. cant ctreate a shortcut either

What do you mean by "layers popup"?
Blend Options do close with Esc.

There are a few other popover panels or floating windows which still don't, however. But I don't remember off the top of my head which ones.

Do they in V2?

[ they don't in V1, like Adjustment dialogs, too. While their window title bars have the macOS traffic-light buttons with macOS shortcut 'Cmd-W' to close the front most window, in Affinity this command does exclusively close the document window instead, even though its buttons are grayed-out when another dialog is currently opened that shall be closed. ]

Alright, there is some inconsistent weirdness going on:

• adjustment windows will close on Esc if they don't have focus
• blend options window will close on Esc if it has focus

sigh…
