Immediate Crash Generating Table of Contents V 2.3.1

I'm running Windows 11 Pro.

I have an approximately 200 page document with 91 sections and approximately 90K words and 200 images and am trying to generate a TOC in the front now that it is all laid out and it immediately crashes every time.

I've attached the most recent two dump files. Let me know what else you might want to know.

I'm open to suggestions.

Never mind. I found that I needed to create a separate text frame for the TOC and all is good now.

I have been searching for an answer to this for over a year and THIS was the freaking solution the whole time.  Wow.

Hi @SammyJ090 I don't know why it crashed but it's a good practice to always place the TOC and index in a separate frame. It's difficult to see where a TOC or Index ends because Publisher doesn't highlight it when you click in it like Microsoft Word does.
