How to select all items inside of group?

Recommended Posts

I tried turning off the Edit All Layers button. It seemed to work. But it's not intuitive.
A group also consists of All the layers in the group. And the word "Layers" is capitalized. I don't have any Layers.

Go to the Layers panel and click on the '>' (to the left of the group's icon and label) to expand the group. Click on the first item in the group and then Shift-click on the last item.

Hi @anto,

I can confirm this is the correct/expected behaviour of 'Edit All Layers' when selecting objects within Groups - however I certainly agree the helpfile should be clearer in this regard as currently only Layers and Artboard are specified, so I'll be sure to request with our documentation team that this is updated.

I hope this clears things up :)

Isn't part of the problem that the button itself is called "Edit All Layers" instead of "Edit All layers"? IOW, that "L" is capitalized, which in Affinity means a specific type of container layer.
