XML import copy and elements to Designer files

Recommended Posts

I use XML to create multiple versions of my design files. (Copy and content) I can do copy in Illustrator with an Illustrator Plug in, its limited because it 30+ yrs old at its core.  If I'm using InDesign its supported natively in the app. This also carries over when generating PDFs. I love Affinities Designer tools and Illustration capabilities but for any commercial applications it really needs XML as an import/replace method for copy and graphic elements. Automation and variations of my designs are critical for efficiency. Getting your designs to a digital world via HTML, SVGs and PDFs that can be altered quickly with automation is becoming critical. I would love to see Affinity connect to a larger changing landscape to help human creativity stay relevant in an A.I. content created market. Right now its a fantastic little tool for individual designers on a budget.
