kat
Anyway to get AP and AP fx to stop gradients defaulting to black and white? I always have to go to default then click one of my gradient swatches. Much prefer the way AD gradients lets me start with a color of my choice. Staff Dan C Posted Friday at 12:36 PM Staff Share Posted Friday at 12:36 PM Hi @kat, Unfortunately I don't believe it's currently possible to change the default gradient colours used for the Gradient Tool when applying to a Pixel Layer or using the FX options in either Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer currently, my apologies. However if you are using the Gradient Tool on a Vector object (such as a rectangle) the current fill colour will be used for the first stop of the gradient, with the end stop being a darker version of this colour. I'll be sure to pass this feedback through to our developers, to allow users to define a default gradient when using the Gradient Tool. I hope this helps kat

kat
Got it, stuck with black & white with pixels. the current fill colour will be used for the first stop of the gradient, with the end stop being a darker version of this colour. … or lighter, if the current colour was setup via CMYK sliders. … or darker + hue variation (and as HSL), if the current colour is a CYMK spot colour swatch, both in a rgb or cmyk docu

For a Pixel layer the Gradient Tool always defaults to White –> Gray (rgb 166) to me in APub V1, – entirely regardless of the current fill/stroke colours in the panels when selecting the Gradient Tool and of the documents colour space. kat 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 only

kat
I can move an entire 3 point radial gradient by click and dragging the center point. But no way to move an entire 2 point gradient. Only possible to move one of the 2 points which changes the gradient?
