DAD
I miss the function 0.001 mm or 0.003 pt line setting for laser and mill-chut/mill.In Affinity Designer 1.4.1. is just a line with 0,1 pt possible. It would be great to have this function to use in svg and eps...We have a huge community of creative crafters, who lovespinterest and using laser and milling.Lovely greetings from Germany – Berlin. love-sietspl
Dale
Hi DAD, this should be possible, you can enter the very small values and they will be applied. To see that level of accuracy in the Stroke/Transform panels you can adjust the number of decimal places in Preferences > User Interface. Oval
you can adjust the number of decimal places in Preferences > User Interface. BTW: The decimal separator in the context toolbar is wrong. DAD has a German UI. 0.003 mm/pt in the stroke panel is displayed as 0 mm/pt in the context toolbar. Can we hope of improvements?
Staff Ben Posted April 22, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 22, 2016 Is that a bug, Oval? Can we hope you put it in the Bugs category then? Oval
Is that a rhetorical question, Ben? :P Normally users don’t know the concept. We cannot know if it is a bug / by design. :(
Staff Ben Posted April 22, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 22, 2016 Then why mention it at all, Oval? If you think it is a bug, put it in the Bugs category in a new thread. Don't just mention it in the middle of another Question thread about a different matter. That's how things that are real bugs get missed, and then you tell us that we have ignored you reporting a bug! DAD
Thanks for your attention and answers!I think, such accuracy in the Stroke would be perfect for Affinity Designerbecause the greatness of the zoom tool can support this kind of workflow easily. And the results in laser cut and milling would bring Affinity Designer on the next levelto produce something in 3D with different materials (like paper, wood and glas and metal and so on)It would be great to put it in Bugs category. Please do so...https://www.etsy.com/de/listing/186843492/laser-geschnittene-textur-papierCheers and best greetings from Germany Berlin DAD

As far as using thin lines is concerned, it should work fine. Just type in the values you want. It should already be next-level! Best wishes.
