66caseys
Hi, I recently lost the 3 screen resizing buttons in the top left corner of Designer on the desktop v2. Actually, I've lost the entire top menu of options that are normally available, ie alignment, etc. I also can't move the screen window around the computer screen. I am able to resize by dragging the sides, and the top right corner (but not the left). So I can make it smaller, but I can't actually move it anywhere, it's like it's frozen in place. I've closed the program, opened new documents, and restarted the computer. This loads with every new document. This is not happening in Photo and Publisher. I've been unable to find anyone else online asking this same question. The photos I'm sharing include a full screen shot before resizing the window, and then the window after adjusting the sides around, as an example. I hope this makes sense. I'm stumped. Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate the help.
Komatös
Hi @66caseys and welcome to the forum. I don't know how to do with macos, but in Windows it helps pressing the TAB key. Forget my suggested solution. Once again, I didn't read correctly. 66caseys 1 Quote AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22631.3085) AMD A10-9600P | dGPU R7 M340 (2 GB) | 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz | Windows 10 Home 22H2 (1945.3803) Affinity Suite V 2.3.1 & Beta 2.(latest) Better translations with: https://www.deepl.com/translator Need a system wide color picker? Old Bruce
What has happened is you have hay have right clicked on the Toolbar and chosen Hide Toolbar or done that with the menu View > Show Toolbar and unchecked it. To get it back go to View > Show Toolbar. Or, unless you have changed the default keyboard shortcuts, use Option+CMD+T (shown as ⌥⌘T in the View menu) to toggle it back on. 66caseys 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V23.0 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
66caseys
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU! It was View>Show Toolbar. And now I can also move the window around. How on earth did I do that?! Thank you for all the responses here, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. And thank you for the welcome, too. 🙂

CMD + Shift +H hides the Studio panel(s) but AFAIK by default Shift + H is not assigned to any shortcut. In the Windows version (2.3) from Designer and Photo there is Shift + H assigned to hide Studio, but in Publisher it is CTRL + Shift + H. Surprisingly, this assignment is completely missing in the current beta of Photo.
