JumpCutJeff
Upon export of my book to PDF, all the section names in the upper right of my book pages are saving as gibberish text. This doesn't make sense because I'm using the same book template I've used in the past with this version of Publisher (1.10.8 on Mac OS Monterey). BUT, the book name on the left side (using same font) looks fine. AND, one subhead within the book doesn't look right when saved (supposed to say "Benefits). See attached. I've checked the following: -Font is installed and only one version/copy (Avenir Next) -Text looks fine in Publisher -When opening in Acrobat, all fonts are loaded. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as this snag has delayed the publication of my book. Thank you!
JumpCutJeff
Update! I had a crazy idea to open this project on an older Mac running Publisher v1.10.4 and...it worked! Must be a bug with 1.10.8.
MikeTO
If you can share a single spread of the Publisher file (you could delete the body of the pages) with a working left side and a broken right side, one of us could figure this out for you. I suggest comparing the left and right headers in Publisher. There has to be some difference between the two, perhaps the right side header has a version of the font that is no longer installed. It would look okay in Publisher but might show up as !Font name. Also check the Font Manager for missing fonts. If all else fails, just copy the contents of the left header to the right and then edit the text as required. That one looks as though the ‘fi’ ligature is missing from the PDF file. Either turning off subsetting on export to PDF or disabling ligatures in the Affinity file should solve the problem. JumpCutJeff
Thanks! I changed the font on my Master Pages and it seemed to do the trick. What's odd is that particular font is used within other parts of the book and it displays fine. Alfred
