MaxResolution
Hi I have 2 sets of data (light frames) of the same object with different settings, and I am loading them into 2 file groups in the AstroPhotography Stack tool. From watching James Ritson's tutorials, I was expecting to get 2 stacked images - 'Stacked Image 1' and 'Stacked Image 2'. But I am getting a single stacked image which is a stack of all the frames in both file groups. What am I doing wrong?
Staff stokerg Posted February 19 Staff Share Posted February 19 Hi @MaxResolutionand Welcome to the Forums, The expected outcome is 1 stacked image from both sets of data. So for example, if you had 4 sets of data, Red, Green, Blue and Lumance, you'd create a File Group for each set of data, add the frames and then stack, the result would be 1 stacked image with multiple layers, 1 layer for each set of data. MaxResolution
Thanks very much for that explanation - that makes perfect sense now! Cheers! stokerg
MaxResolution
I think I have figured this out now. If you tag the file groups with different filters, you get a layer for each group. If you don't tag them with a filter, they all get combined into a single stacked layer.
