james_uk
The other day i noticed my affinity icon on my desktop, was appearing like an icon thats not attached to anything. The affinity logo has vanished from it. I have done a reinstallation and tried to find the installation directory, which i found in appdata microsoftapps, but the icon in there has no picture on it either. The app opens fine, but does anyone know if i can fix this? Regards James
mopperle
Assuming you are using Windows, it can be a problem with the Windows icon cache. there are several ways to check/solve this. The most commen are: 1. Press F5 (refresh) on the desktop or right click for the desktop context menu 2. Restart the Explorer: Open the Windows Taskmanager, locate the Explorer process and click on "Restart Task" in the upright corner 3. Go to the folder Users/YourUsername/AppData/Local, locate the file iconcache.db and delete it. be aware that this file is usually hidden and you must make it visible via the settings in Windows Explorer.
